The Ghent-based investment group aim.group and private investor Patrick Herwegh acquire Epyc, the Belgian market leader in innovative tailor-made e-learning for companies.

VDP acted as advisor to the seller.

Epyc:

Epyc, originally founded within the KU Leuven, was put on the map by Wim Govaerts in 2003 thanks to its innovative learning solutions. In 2011, together with Bram Van den Borre, he acquired full control.

Epyc brings innovative tailor-made and in-house developed e-learning solutions to the customer. The company’s mission is to make people eager to learn through fun learning experiences, and this on the basis of original learning experiences, such as serious games and out-of-the-box training courses.

In addition, the company has its own publishing activities under the labels Hit the Road (learning materials for traffic and driving licences) and Safety on the Workfloor (safety training for secondary schools).
