Transaction:

The media group IPM – publisher of La Libre Belgique, La Dernière Heure, L’Avenir and Paris Match Belgique – invests in the Francophone news channel LN24 (Les News 24).  The new investor strengthens LN24’s capital in order to support growth. The group of family le Hodey is expanding its business activities by adding LN24 to its portfolio.

VDP advised the shareholders BESIX and Belfius Insurance in realizing this transaction.

LN24:

LN24 is a Belgian media group founded in 2018 by Joan Condijts and Boris Portnoy, in partnership with BESIX and Belfius Insurance, among others. Its mission is to deliver 24/7 quality information across a variety of media platforms. LN24 is the first 24/7 news network in Belgium and was recently awarded as “Media Brand of the Year”.

In two years’ time, the channel reaches between 2 to 3 million viewers per week, combined across all channels. LN24, which focuses on positive and qualitative economic-political content, employs around 50 people.
